i keep tilting my computer at a funny angle, because i type while lying in bed, i have stressed my power cord. it\u2019s plugged in, but suddenly it says it\u2019s not plugged in anymore. this has been going on for a few weeks now, and i keep thinking OH MY GOD YET ANOTHER THING GOING WRONG I\u2019M SURE IT\u2019LL COST A MILLION DOLLARS TO GET A NEW ONE AND LIFE CERTAINLY SUCKS RIGHT NOW AND I SEE NO POINT IN EVEN GETTING OUT OF BED AT ALL.<\/p>\n
so, tonight i was chatting with christine, and she said she didn\u2019t think it\u2019d cost more than a hundred bucks.<\/p>\n
so i went to ebay and bought one just now, and it was all very fast, and it was only thirty dollars.<\/p>\n
and now, my life if perfect.<\/p>\n
whew.<\/p>\n
we were discussing men and relationships, and she was talking about a boyfriend she had when she was planning on moving to italy. i said, “oh, you were still with him when you were planning your move?”<\/p>\n
and she said “we were only together in the sense that i hated him.”<\/p>\n
this made me laugh for quite a while.<\/p>\n
she has a friend who got married even though she knew it was a bad idea, and now, a year later, the friend is (of course) miserable, and the friend just told christine today that she doesn\u2019t believe there are any good men left in the world.<\/p>\n
that does seem to be true, except i know at least one man who probably thinks that about women, he was divorced just a few months ago and has a story about his ex-wife that would make your hair stand ON END. so i can\u2019t blame him for any bad feelings he might have for females everywhere. except that most of us, actually, are very, very good. <\/p>\n
i feel that, by and large (what is “by and large,” anyway? where did that come from?), men are prone to be more lying-cheating-being baddder and badder in whatever cliched bad man way that they can be till you just want to crawl under the covers and never get out of bed again.<\/p>\n
brendan isn\u2019t bad. A+ kudos to jerri for being wise enough to find a non-bad one. <\/p>\n
jerri is very wise.<\/p>\n
she and brendan are also going to be in denver when i go there to visit christine, and i am going to listen to what jerri has to say. because she\u2019s very wise.<\/p>\n
practically sage-like, even.<\/p>\n
wiseness-wise, not spice-wise.<\/p>\n
she did make me some delicious macaroni and cheese one time, though. or i think it was something more elaborate than that, it was some sort of macaroni and cheese…pie? perhaps i\u2019m hallucinating the whole thing. a lot of that went on back in LA. <\/p>\n
i think today was REALLY the last warm day. i thought that last week, or maybe a couple weeks ago, but i think today was the day. <\/p>\n
this morning when i drove to work, the leaves were absolutely raining down from the trees.<\/p>\n
and last night, i didn\u2019t leave work till seven, and it was completely dark outside.<\/p>\n
time to stay in bed, under the covers, until there\u2019s some hope of some possible reason to get up.<\/p>\n
maybe in april.<\/p>\n
perhaps may.<\/p>\n
that is all for this moment.<\/p>\n
ok then,<\/p>\n
