so, after doing very little at panera this afternoon, i went to work, but first stopped in at my sister\u2019s salon, because i had just a little bit of extra time, and she doesn\u2019t work on tuesdays, but the place was open for business, there were three clients there, and suddenly i thought IT\u2019S NOT TUESDAY, IT\u2019S WEDNESDAY.<\/p>\n
and i got very disoriented, and i asked one of the women what day it was, and she said it was tuesday. <\/p>\n
whew.<\/p>\n
i mean, this is what a lot of iced tea does to me. imagine the effect of an entire cup of COFFEE. jim keeps trying to get me to drink coffee. he thinks it\u2019s a necessary part of living. <\/p>\n
i told him, i don\u2019t wanna be hooked. what if i get stranded on a desert island, and i\u2019m addicted to coffee? think of the headache i\u2019d get. when i\u2019ve been around christine and she forgets to have coffee in the morning, she gets horrible headaches. that would suck.<\/p>\n
not gonna do it. no coffee addiction for me.<\/p>\n
not to mention all that coffee snobbery that comes with being an addict, the special coffee beans and all of that hooey. no sir, no thank you. <\/p>\n
the occasional iced tea, that\u2019s as far as i\u2019m gonna go.<\/p>\n
maybe a diet coke, if i\u2019m really feeling wild. also, the thing is tht jim gets up very very early, so he needs some caffeine. maybe if i was forced to get up early, i, too, would be hooked. <\/p>\n
hopefully that will never happen.<\/p>\n
erica e-mailed to say that she\u2019s my sole blog reader, she reads it to see if i\u2019m writing about her. <\/p>\n
no, she was kidding, she\u2019s not my SOLE reader. i know there are a few other people reading.<\/p>\n
today i thought, it would be neat to write a blog just for one person. just something they could read.<\/p>\n
and then i thought, THAT WOULD BE WRITING A LETTER. or an e-mail.<\/p>\n
i still write e-mails, but they\u2019re not usually as long as the ones i used to write, because people stopped writing back because i wrote so much. or because they got lazy, i don\u2019t know. and this would make me mad, not hearing back from people.<\/p>\n
so, having this website is a way for me to write, and i know you\u2019re reading, and i can\u2019t get mad that you don\u2019t write to me, because i can\u2019t say for certain WHO exactly is doing the reading. i could be mad at HUMANITY IN GENERAL, and sometimes i am, for one reason or another, but that inevitably takes too much effort.<\/p>\n
randy told me that at the beginning of “meet joe black,” brad pitt, the real guy, meets anthony hopkins\u2019 daughter in a coffee shop, and they arrange to meet later, but then he gets hit by a bus or something. and then brad pitt who is now THE GRIM REAPER knocks on anthony hopkins\u2019 door. <\/p>\n
i feel that he\u2019s forgetting some crucial element here. i kept asking him, ISN\u2019T THE GRIM REAPER THERE IN THE COFFEE SHOP? DRESSED IN A HOODED BLACK CAPE WITH A SYTHE IN HIS BONY HAND?<\/p>\n
randy said it definitely didn\u2019t happen like that.<\/p>\n
if there\u2019s NOT more to the opening, then it\u2019s very lame.<\/p>\n
i\u2019m just going to have to rent it.<\/p>\n
maybe this weekend, when i\u2019m house\/dogsitting for amy and jim.<\/p>\n
