We got through the trivia questions and also the very complaining Q&A, and we got a vew more pictures taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then there was a costume contest; they’d posted online a long time ago that only ten people could participate which seemed kind of restrictive, but Amy decided she wanted to do it and she talked the people in charge into letting her enter. The description had been that you were supposed to dress up like your favorite character but many were just in 20s attire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amy is #14, down in front on the right. At first each contestant came onto the stage and Amy danced around quite a bit which was darling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had to vote for our favorite contestant but at this point my phone was low on power so we didn’t vote. People who were watching online could also vote, and Amy was robbed; I bet others had told friends and family about it and they could vote. I’d certainly have told Kevin if I’d thought about it. Anyway, we then went back to the first room to get our delicious buffet dinner, and lots of eating ensued. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After dinner we went outside for a picture. They were setting up something and we guessed it was for another event. It was still mighty warm out there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final event was a contest between three of us detectives and three Wooga employees; they were all give ipads and were competing to get the highest score. This was fun, because April had all kinds of stuff for people to throw at the employees to distract them, including snowballs made of yarn and confetti and lots of other stuff. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The detectives won, of course, and then we came to the final event. Three young women dressed to the hilt as glamorous flappers with big fans came into the room and escorted us all outside. So they’d been setting up for us! By this time it was dark, and it was set up like a casino with a roulette wheel, blackjack, craps, all casino games. People flocked to it like crazy even though they weren’t playing for real money. We were amazed that they were so frenzied about playing, and we had a few desserts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this point we decided we’d had enough, and on our way out we grabbed June’s Journey t-shirts and swag bags from a table. It was too dark to get a photo of the big June and Jack banners, oh well. By some miracle a cab passed by and were back to the hotel in no time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He we are waiting for the elevator back at the Palmer House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, was it worth it? It was nice to go to Chicago with Amy and Mom, fun to take the train, great to see our friend Tracy. They’d obviously put a lot into the event, and my regret is that I didn’t talk to the people who worked for the company, and didn’t interact with many other people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But still it was a totally different thing to do, and like I said, they probably won’t be coming back to the US for another event anytime soon. And the swag! Very nice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A mug, a fan, magnets, pins, a journal, a t-shirt and the funniest thing to me is that there were June’s Journey white athletic socks. It seems like they’d be good for Halloween but not sure what the outfit would be to go with them. Something to think about…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
