It reminded me of Captiva Island, which had huge mansions lining the drive. But on Captiva, many of the homes were surrounded by tall walls or impressive shrubbery so it wasn&#8217;t to easy to get a view of many of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Casey Key is more narrow and for at least part of the drive there was just ocean on one side, mansions on the other side. Eventually mansions lined both sides, but they were mostly easy to see and it was really fun to cruise along. I had to take a video while driving, not the safest thing in the wold I know, but there were almost no other cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/60zlczbAwpI?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Randy had said he&#8217;d gone to the Tiki bar when he visited Lori Ann in Venice and I looked for it on the map. It seemed to be inland, which seemed odd, but after we drove to the end of Casey Key and turned inland I decided I didn&#8217;t want to keep driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">We stopped at a little beach halfway in towards the island and parked so we could look at the water. We crossed the little street, and there was the TIki Bar! There was a restaurant but also a thatch-roofed open air bar and there were many folks enjoying libations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Mom and I sat down on adirondack chairs on the the beach.  A couple of boats were pulled up, and in one of them was a dog wearing blue goggles.  So cute! The woman on the boat said the dog wasn&#8217;t blind. but they wanted to protect his eyes.
