{"id":20614,"date":"2023-02-04T10:50:01","date_gmt":"2023-02-04T16:50:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/graceuncensored.com\/WordPress\/?p=20614"},"modified":"2023-02-04T10:50:05","modified_gmt":"2023-02-04T16:50:05","slug":"nyc-day-two","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/graceuncensored.com\/WordPress\/uncategorized\/nyc-day-two\/","title":{"rendered":"NYC Day Two"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Wednesday January 18th &#8211; I&#8217;d been obsessively looking at the weather (I actually always obsessively check the weather) and knew it was going to rain on Thursday, our last full day in New York, so I wanted to cram as much outside stuff as possible into Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Our first stop was the Astro Cafe, a little restaurant at other end of 6th Avenue and across the street from the Warwick.  We&#8217;d breakfasted there back in 2009 and I was happy to see that it was still open and thriving.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;d forgotten that the portions of everything were huge, but it was a deliciously late start to our morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/graceuncensored.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/j28.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20617\" srcset=\"https:\/\/graceuncensored.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/j28.jpg 540w, https:\/\/graceuncensored.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/j28-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">We took the subway down to Battery Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"635\" src=\"https:\/\/graceuncensored.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/j6.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20618\" srcset=\"https:\/\/graceuncensored.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/j6.jpg 400w, https:\/\/graceuncensored.com\/WordPress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/j6-189x300.jpg 189w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Randy had said he wanted to see the Statue of Liberty and I thought that meant he wanted to look at it from across the water, but he wanted to see it up close.  That&#8217;s something I&#8217;d never done, so we boarded the ferry and headed over. On the ferry back I kept seeing people wearing stocking caps that said Statue of Liberty on them and wished I&#8217;d bought one, but on the other hand I already have too many stocking caps that I don&#8217;t even wear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;m so glad that Randy wanted to visit the statue because I don&#8217;t know if I&#8217;d have ever done it on my own.
