or I just need to wear them when going to the grocery store…my friend Christine always said that you could wear anything from a ballgown to a bathing suit to the grocery store when we lived in LA, because well, it was LA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and then there are these rhinestones that I\u2019ve acquired…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and then there\u2019s this, a beautiful watch that was grandmother\u2019s. Maybe I can get it fixed. Meanwhile, I was happy to wear it to the fundraiser and it was 6:20 all night long!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nTa da! Kevin in a tux! Amy took a bunch to pictures of us. I don\u2019t think you can quite see just how fancy my hairdo was. It involved lots of curling and teasing and spraying with hairspray and more teasing and more hairspray and then more hairspray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nJulie and Glenn also sat with us us at the event, which was much more crowded than it looks here. And lots of women were in 20\u2019s outfits which surprised me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nI heard a woman say, \u201cthis is the third 20s thing I\u2019ve been to this year. And then I realized, or more likely somebody told me, that\u2019s because it is now 2020!
They had special cocktails, sidecars. I can\u2019t remember what was in it but it was delicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nDinner was also delicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dessert…well, no chocolate. I had a good pineapple upside down cake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There was also angel food cake. *sigh.* perfectly fine desserts, but like I said, no chocolate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n A good time was had by all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n And finally…home again in my jammies! It was nice to brush all of that hairspray and everything out of my hair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019m writing this while I am in Saint Petersburg Florida, it is in the 70s and I\u2019m about to go for a run.
