<\/a><\/p>\nthis gate had been open when we passed it, which is why we missed the small sign.<\/p>\n
there were all kinds of strange and unusual plants in the garden, including this one.<\/p>\n a Dr. Seuss-kind of plant<\/p><\/div>\n everything was so lovely…<\/p>\n <\/p>\n this was a small brook near the back of the property, where we parked our car. \u00a0those brigt orange flowers are called crocosmia, but i didn’t learn their names til much later in our trip, when i saw them many other places.<\/p>\n croquet was set up, but since it was getting near 7:00, we had no time for a game.<\/p>\n our car was never parked in such a pretty setting through the rest of the trip. \u00a0we were hesitant at firs to pull in, because we were right up on the lawn next to a flowering bush.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n here’s a view of neighborhing\u00a0houses, from the lush back gardens.<\/p>\n the driveway was flanked by a pair of dogs that looked an awful lot like italian greyhounds.<\/p>\n it took us a while to get to dinner just because we kept taking pictures of their garden! \u00a0look at the size of that huge plant on kevin’s right!<\/p>\n this is right across the road from the b&b.<\/p>\n this is the road leading to the couple of pubs, and over to the left the road continues and joins up with the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, which we’d start walking in the morning.<\/p>\n we stopped at a little pub for some local seafood. \u00a0this was the griffin inn, and i think there were only two choices of pubs. \u00a0i tried the John Dory, because i’d never had that fish before, and because it was caught right there. \u00a0it was OK, but didn’t seem worth the 24 pounds, which was about $36. \u00a0kevin’s mullet and fries were scrumptious, though. \u00a0i also had a big glass of pear cider, which i always like.<\/p>\n John Dory<\/p><\/div>\n for dessert, we split something called a chocolate knickerbocker, which was quite tasty and full of chocolate.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a>
