at least i realize and acknowledge that many, if not most, of the problems i find in my life are brought upon by me myself and i.<\/p>\n
but just because i realize and acknowledge this, it doesn\u2019t mean that i\u2019m going to CHANGE MY NUTTY BEHAVIOR.<\/p>\n
i want to write in detail about the frustrating time i\u2019ve had ever since midnight last night. i\u2019ll try to condense it a little, but if you get bored, just stop reading already.<\/p>\n
i was lying in bed at midnight, trying to figure out how to improve the video quality of my video. which is a video.<\/p>\n
i decided that it couldn\u2019t hurt to try to create a movie from the video i\u2019d created using the pinnacle editing software. after you make a complete movie, you then have to make it into some kind of format, like dvd or vhs or mpeg. i thought that maybe making a smaller mpeg file might work. <\/p>\n
but why wait till the morning, when i was wide awake? so i got up and screwed around with it for an HOUR. <\/p>\n
at which point it was ONE A.M., much too late to go to bed at a reasonable hour, especially when i had lots of work today and then rehearsal tonight. <\/p>\n
it didn\u2019t work. i finally went to sleep.<\/p>\n
so today kevin and i went to best buy and purchased pinnacle version ELEVEN. the one we had was only version EIGHT.<\/p>\n
eleven is MUCH MUCH BIGGER than eight.<\/p>\n
in between other things, i installed it on my computer, even though the computer kept giving me these warning signals that SOMETHING WASN\u2019T WORKING.<\/p>\n
i ignored them.<\/p>\n
tonight i finally had a chance to copy the movie from kevin\u2019s computer to mine and then tries to put it into my new and improved pinnacle program.<\/p>\n
it didn\u2019t work, because i don\u2019t need just the finished movie, i also need all the little individual video and music clips.<\/p>\n
i decided to make a test video. i imported a couple of video clips and one audio clip.<\/p>\n
AND IT WORKED! VERY THRILLING. but then when i went to make this small section of the movie into an mpeg file that i\u2019m sure would be CRYSTAL CLEAR AND BEAUTIFUL, there was a message that i was missing media file x000.dtl.<\/p>\n
WHAT IS MEDIA FILE XOOO.DTL??? <\/p>\n
whatever it is, it made the audio portion of the video go away, plus the program refused to let me make it into an mpeg file to put on you tube as a test.<\/p>\n
grrrr.<\/p>\n
at least it did SOMETHING.<\/p>\n
but just not enough.<\/p>\n
so i could continue to mess around with this whole damn thing for a very long time, i feel. or i could just say THAT\u2019S AS GOOD AS THIS VIDEO IS GOING TO GET.<\/p>\n
at least outputted to you tube.<\/p>\n
this, of course, doesn\u2019t please me.<\/p>\n
surely there is a way to figure out the mysterious MEDIA FILE X000.dtl.<\/p>\n
surely.<\/p>\n
i\u2019m NOT going to spend the night obsessing about it, because i\u2019m too tired from staying up ridiculously late last night.<\/p>\n
maybe i\u2019ll ask kevin to see if he can figure out the elusive MEDIA FILE x000.dtl. he\u2019s much more tenacious than i am.<\/p>\n
i did get an e-mail last night from a YOU TUBE VIEWER, who said they didn\u2019t think i\u2019d be able to get a much sharper image on my video.<\/p>\n
WHAT KIND OF DEFEATIST ATTITUDE IS THAT?<\/p>\n
imagine if i was getting paid to do this, how rich i\u2019d be.<\/p>\n
i\u2019m really really really going to sleep now.<\/p>\n
after i read a little bit of news stories about barack obama online.<\/p>\n
last night i read the most ridiculous thing i\u2019ve heard so far – that somebody (clinton\/clintonites?) are saying that people who are crazy about obama are, well, crazy…crazy like followers of HARE KRISHNA or CHARLES MANSON.<\/p>\n
jeez. that\u2019s all i have to say.<\/p>\n
