i was on hold for ONE AND A HALF HOURS, getting madder and madder by the minute. i finally said to kevin, who is busily thumbing through a Tandy leather-tooling magazine and wants to make me a purse, I’M GOING TO HANG UP NOW.

he said “why don’t you give them 10 more minutes.”

so i kept waiting and four minutes later A HUMAN ACTUALLY CAME ON THE PHONE.

the whole thing took less than ten minutes, and most of that time was spent making sure that i was really me and not some imposter grace hughes who wanted nothing more than to SIT AROUND FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF ON HOLD.

i told the guy about my bandwidth issue and he said “i can fix that for you in a second.” AND HE DID.

so now, instead of 2.88 gb per month, i have FIFTEEN HUNDRED.

whew. i wished i had more questions for him, but i couldn’t think of anything else.

it’s all better now, though, and that’s all that matters.

so all you picture-seekers, LOOK AWAY! and all you chinese people, HERE’S MY WEBSITE. i’d love to hear from any of you sometime, except in english, please.

ok then,

grace finally going to bed with little or no angst for the moment anyway.
