repulsive. repugnant. i just looked him up on the Internet Movie Database and it talked about his use of “cathartic violence.”

yeah, right. there are more than enough brutal, despicable acts of violence happening in real life, every day of the year, why on earth do we need to watch fictional graphic, brutal, senseless killing? what, exactly, makes these kinds of films so delicious to so many people?
