we were supposed to have snow last night, but instead it was warm. today it reached somewhere in the 40’s, which made everybody happy.
me? i just can’t stop taking pictures.
mr. woodpecker has an extremely flexible neck.
i took some pictures of the geese in the yard. here’s one in front of the heron yard ornament.
i tried to creep down closer to the water to get pictures of the geese before they flew away.
there were lots and lots of snow geese…here they are way on the other side of the lake.
the geese sidled closer and closer to the water, but they were hanging in there for a little bit…
they start to slowly march down to the water.
one of them took off…
and then, everybody was in up in the air. that goose second from the left on the bottom looks like his wing is bent in, doesn’t he? i like the fact that all their wings are in different positions.
…and the last ones cruise down onto the water.
the movement made the snow geese way out on the lake take off, too.
wow, it was such a noise…
suddenly there weren’t any birds nearby…but wait, what’s that i saw??? a fishing boat! they were roaring along way over there.
and then…a kayak! i could only barely make it out, but my fabulous zoom lens captured the guy out there.
i finally stopped taking pictures. kevin has been very very busy today finishing up the hard stuff in the bathroom. he’s been working on the plumbing under the sink for hours now, and has been to a couple of hardware stores three times so far.
i’ve been babysitting the dogs.
ok then,
saturday grace.
