that we got to enjoy the company of our charming chester for six years.

yesterday, our vet, dr. kris myers, found that his kidneys were grossly enlarged, meaning lymphoma.

such an incredibly caring person, dr. myers carried chester into the exam room on a big soft bed.  chester was clearly ready to go – he let us pet him, but he really just wanted to sleep.

this morning when i woke up i decided to find all the pictures i could of him, finding the first one from sept. 2011 when he first showed up at our door.  i started going through each month of each year, and found so many more photos to add to my sorrow – pictures of sweet mollie, of amy and jim’s dogs noodle and numie, mom and dad’s dogs shortie and gizmo…and dad.

whew.  it’s hard to comprehend that they’re all gone.

right now, here’s one of my favorites, chester under the tree on his first christmas.

he was such a good boy and we miss him terribly.

ok then,

g.
