yaaaay, we’ve successfully made it to MARCH!

the roads were cleared by sunday afternoon, the show was sold out, it was a lot of fun, but i was quite content to get home, and last night i deliciously lolled around in my jammies and reveled in not going anywhere.  maybe we’ll get to do the show again?  since we kept being sold out, and it was fun and people loved it.

meanwhile…well, this morning the ground is covered with a layer of ice.  nice.  normally i WOULD NOT GO out onto the roads, but unfortunately i have to drive all the way across town for a little job.  i leave here at nine, but hopefully the ice will have melted by then?

it’s supposed to be in the 40s by the weekend, and then, soon, SPRING!  please let there be spring.

and now, wrapping up february – on february 18th, the snow was blowing around  like crazy.

and this is what it was like the morning after our opening night.  so much snow!

lester and chester didn’t really want to be out there, although they so desperately did.

for opening night, sweet julie gave us all these customized notebooks with show pictures on them, plus a christmas ornament!  she’s so thoughtful and sweet!

i decided at some point that maybe i’d have a cast party here.  this would have involved such a massive amount of cleaning and straightening up that i felt a little overwhelmed, so i decided to start in.

i began by cleaning out my purse.  this is how many salt and pepper packets were in there.  i got them from a wendy’s on the way to florida, because i remembered that i’d neglected to pack any salt and pepper.

i’m pretty sure i didn’t use any of them.

but at least my purse was clean, ready for a party!

yeah, sometimes i have a little bit of trouble trying to get my priorities straight.  i also cleaned out the inside of the microwave, another critical thing to clean before having people over to the house.

saturday, the night i had planned for the party, i was thankful that jill had offered to host one at the hilton instead.  there’s no way i’d have had to do even the minimal amount of cleaning that would have been necessary.  and then we had to cancel all party plans anyway.

we did manage to get out to the cracker barrel so i could have my biscuit fix.  kevin went a little bit crazy, maybe because he was finished with his meal way before anybody else.

friday afternoon before the show, we were all sprawled around, trying to relax.  as you see, chester was having a hard time managing it.

as was kevin.

i did a pretty good job of relaxing.

but then, kevin walked into the room with les on his back!  les loves that.

and, TA DA!  that’s it for february!  welcome, march, and the possibility of spring being at least somewhere there around the corner.

ok then,

mrs. srping is just around the corner hughes.
