i’ve been gone since last thursday, in NYC ostensibly to help my friend bev move her daughter, but then we didn’t actually have to do that, but we did many, many other things, and i have just one little posting of a fabulous door…

but first, i just have to say that after kevin picked us up at the springfield airport and we went out for a celebratory dinner and came home, kevin had CLEANED OUT THE FRIDGE!  i mean, he cleaned and threw out things that were expired and even took out all the shelves and cleaned them and WHAT A FABULOUS FELLOW I’M MARRIED TO!

so here’s my thursday door, even though i shouldn’t even have this computer open right now, i should just be sitting here relaxing, but really, that’s what i’m doing.

we went to the metropolitan museum, one of my favorite places in new york, and i never can spend enough time there.  i had to first go look at my favorite impressionist paintings, by monet mostly, and then we saw a few other things, and we happened to stroll by this truly lovely painting of  doors.

if you’ve visited the met, you know that it’s so cram-packed with so many magnificent treasures of all kinds, it’s kind of mind-boggling to be there, and whenever i’m there i always have this sense of hopelessness at being able to see even a fraction of what i’d like to view.  so i think it’s wonderful that we just happened upon this work.
